The news: According to Deadline, four-time Oscar-winner Joel Coen will be directing — sans brother Ethan, apparently — his own adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth, to star his wife, two-time Oscar-winner Frances McDormand as Lady Macbeth, and two-time Oscar-winner Denzel Washington in talks to take on the title role.
